Hi everyone, I’m Doris. I work on gender equality, social inclusion, climate, and community development projects at an international NGO, with an academic background in Sociology.
I chose to pursue this MPH to gain the systematic policy and economic tools needed to move beyond temporary relief and drive transformative change. Receiving the FTSS scholarship has been incredibly validating; it has eased my journey and deeply reinforced my commitment to building a more equitable society.
So far, the most rewarding part of my studies has been the interdisciplinary and reflective environment. For example, engaging with inspiring professors and guest speakers in a recent class on global systems of care for older people has reshaped how I view inclusive, age-friendly health systems. I have experienced similarly sparkling moments of insight throughout my coursework.
Looking ahead, I aspire to advance intersectional health and social equity, with a focus on women and queer communities.
